Developing software that encourages efficiencies.
Vision:
Galante consulted with Terner Center leadership and graduate Graham MacDonald to develop the Housing Development Dashboard,which contains two software tools: one that predicts the feasibility of a project based on local factors, and one that models the effects of policy changes on housing production and revenue.
Economics:
The tools have demonstrated the effect of zoning on housing production, the impact of underlying market conditions on project feasibility,and the effect on market conditions on affordable housing.
