Unveiled in April at Milan Design Week, New York–based firm SO-IL introduced “MINI Living – Breathe”—a prototype for housing with a flexible, permeable membrane that offers an innovative, sustainable solution to compact urban living. Designed in collaboration with car manufacturer MINI, the concept emphasizes resource consciousness and a living within a small footprint. Lined with a mesh exterior, the modular, metal-framed house filters city air, and a plant-covered roof further improves air quality and the surrounding microclimate.
