Frank Anton is the vice chairman emeritus of Hanley Wood, the premier information, media, event, and strategic marketing services company serving the residential, design, and commercial construction industries. As an innovative thought leader, Anton focuses on creating ways Hanley Wood can better serve the residential and commercial design and construction industry.
Anton’s tenure at Hanley Wood spans more than three decades. Prior to his role as vice chairman, he served as chief executive officer, and led a dynamic and strategic shift in how the company went to market with a network of magazines, websites, e-newsletters, trade shows and conferences, marketing solutions, and data services.
Prior to being named company CEO in 2005, Anton served as president when the company experienced unprecedented growth. He began his career at Hanley Wood as editor and publisher of BUILDER magazine, one of the company’s flagship titles. His unmatched industry experience and stature make Anton a sought-after commentator on housing-related issues.
Anton is a member of the board of American Business Media and of the executive committee at the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University.
He graduated from Dartmouth College and holds a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
