Prioritized affordable housing as the key to seniors’ health and ability to age in place.
Vision:
A bipartisan task force co-chaired by Henry Cisneros, Mel Martinez, Allyson Schwartz, and Vin Weber called for greater integration of America’s health care and housing systems in order to improve outcomes for older adults and to enable millions of them to age in place in their own homes and communities.
Economics:
The team worked to harness the resources of federal and local governments, the private sector, and nonprofit communities to make ending homelessness among older adults a national priority.
