Biologist Janine Benyus may not have coined the term biomimicry, but she popularized it in her 1997 book that details how science can study nature’s best ideas to solve 21st-century problems. Benyus also co-founded the first bio-inspired consultancy, Biomimicry 3.8, and the Biomimicry Institute.
Economics:
As a consultant, Benyus has led housing influencers like HOK Architects, Kohler, Dupont, Steelcase, Rocky Mountain Institute, Arup Engineers, and Gensler Architects.
