Hoffman devoted his career to crafting innovative practices to energy savings. He died in 2012, but his passion for energy conservation continues.
Economics:
Today, Hoffman might have been most proud of the program’s awareness: More than 85% of consumers understand that the Energy Star label is for energy efficiency. Energy Star has saved $362 billion on utility bills and reduced harmful greenhouse gases by 2.5 billion tons since 1992.
