In 2013, Joseph DeSimone and his co-inventors revolutionized 3D technology with the creation of the continuous liquid interface production (CLIP) printer. It eliminates the shortcomings of conventional 3D printing by harnessing light and oxygen to rapidly produce objects from resin.

CLIP can print a monolithic object 25 to 100 times faster than a traditional 3D printer, creating seamless materials with high strength-to- weight ratio.
