The Mungo Homes Foundation held its fifth annual Week of Giving in early December across the 10 markets Mungo Homes builds in. Continuing its long-standing tradition of holiday giving, the foundation coordinated donation check presentations while team members participated in company-allotted volunteer hours guided by the mission, “To serve so that others are empowered to thrive.”
This year’s Week of Giving included hands-on volunteer efforts benefiting approximately 50 nonprofit organizations. In total, donations from this year’s initiative reached nearly $300,000, reinforcing the foundation’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the communities it serves.
Volunteer projects spanned a wide range of service areas, including food distribution, home repairs and accessibility improvements, animal shelter support, and assistance for veterans and youth. Mungo Homes team members worked directly alongside local nonprofit partners, taking part in activities such as sorting and packing food, shopping for and wrapping gifts for children, and serving meals to individuals and families in need.
Week of Giving recipients were nominated by local Mungo Homes team members and selected by each local Mungo Homes Foundation board of advisors based on qualifying criteria. Last year, more than $300,000 was donated to deserving organizations, and team members contributed more than 3,640 combined volunteer hours during the annual Week of Service and Week of Giving.
