Fourteen residential projects earned Builder’s Choice Design Award recognition this year—one project of the year, seven grands, and six merits. Jurors Preston Bussard of Court Atkins Group, Michael Phillips of Beazer Homes, and Matthew Segal of Jonathan Segal, FAIA not only selected a broad range of product types—from a prefabricated, net-zero home to an emerging master-planned community—but the trio also inadvertently chose winners that showcase significant geographic diversity, with representation from Ontario, Canada, to South Carolina to Indiana to California.

Below, be sure to take note of each project’s location in addition to the design details that elevated it to become an award winner.
