Dunn-Edwards announces Midnight Garden as 2026 Color of the Year.

As grounding, restorative hues continue to lead the color of the year picks for 2026, Dunn-Edwards has chosen Midnight Garden. Inspired by biophilic design, Midnight Garden is reminiscent of nature and invites wellness and renewal through its muted, earthy hue.

“Midnight Garden is the green that works everywhere — from cabinetry and walls to accents and exteriors,” says Lauren Hoferkamp, color marketing manager at Dunn-Edwards. “Its versatility makes it equally at home on interiors and exteriors, pairing effortlessly with natural textures, warm neutrals, or sleek minimalism.”

A popular Dunn-Edwards color, the hue complements Dunn-Edwards 2026 Color Trends’ warm terracottas, neutrals, and balanced purples, and serves as a ‘bridge color’ that mixes well with both subtle and bold design. Dunn-Edwards says Midnight Garden is both timeless and adaptable not only in residential but commercial settings as well.
