Aquor Water Systems has unveiled its follow-up to the House Hydrant, an outdoor water tap faucet recently named Outdoor Product of the Year at IBS 2018. The new Marine Washdown Outlet allows users to place hose outlets near to the locations where they will most often be used, saving home owners and other users the trouble of dragging a garden hose across the yard from a faraway tap.

The deck wash outlet was originally designed for use on sailboats and other marine vessels, and may still be used as such. It was made to replace bulky deck faucets, which posed a tripping hazard when the boat rocked back and forth. For home use, potential applications include proximity to gardens or pool decks.

The Marine Washdown Outlet can be installed anywhere outdoors, whether in-ground or in a deck, on a horizontal or a vertical surface. (Aquor notes that vertical installations must be manually drained.) It features an impact-resistant swivel cover that may be stepped on without damaging the outlet, and a flow rate of 6.8 gallons per minute at 52 PSI. Its hose connectors are identical to those used in the House Hydrant, with a twist-lock system that ensures leak protection.

The outlet kit includes the main a deckwash outlet with a swivel cover, three #10 stainless steel mounting screws, and the Aquor Hose Connector, which provides compatibility with any 3.4” garden hose. An optional removable faucet is also available.

The 3.5-inch valve is compatible with any type of plumbing, but PEX tubing is recommended for quick and easy installation. The installation process requires a 1.5” hole saw, a 1/2″ NPT male-threaded plumbing adapter, Teflon tape, and a Phillips head screwdriver. aquorwatersystems.com
