GE Appliances has partnered with Procter & Gamble to include specialized Tide PODS Dispense compartments in a new series of top-load, high-efficiency washing machines.

The Tide PODS Dispense compartments are located between the softener and detergent compartments, with a dedicated water jet to puncture the pac and a shower to dissolve the detergent into the laundry load. The 4.6 cubic foot model incorporates a dual-action agitator, while the 4.8 cu. ft. model uses a low-profile infuser, providing more room for larger loads.

“When consumers combine the washer technology from GE Appliances with their Tide form of choice, POD’s or Liquid, they receive an easy and powerful one-step cleaning solution that delivers the results they need,” says Jennifer Ahoni, scientific communications manager, North America fabric care at Procter & Gamble.

Both top-load laundry models also feature GE’s Dynamic Balancing Technology, which aims to provide a quieter wash cycle; presets for removing tough stains; four rinse options; and Wi-Fi connectivity, with cycle monitoring and control via smartphone app.

“We want laundry to be as painless as possible for consumers, and getting clothes clean without having to overthink detergent measurement is one way to streamline the task,” says David Wilson, commercial director of laundry at GE Appliances. “Tide PODS Dispense exemplifies the easy-to-use nature of our laundry solutions.”

The Tide PODS Dispense washers are available in a White or Diamond Gray finish, starting at a suggested retail price of $849.00. geappliances.com
