New manufacturer Thor Kitchen has entered the kitchen appliance market with a full pro-style, “mass-premium” kitchen suite. The stainless-steel range, range hood, refrigerator, and dishwasher retail for less than the price of one premium range – under $5,000 altogether.
“Our goal is to bring real pro-style products to more people,” says Kyle You, Thor Kitchen Managing Director. “Up until this point, pro-style appliances have always had a premium price preventing home chefs from having their dream kitchen. Now, instead of settling for just a pro-style range, you can have a full pro-style kitchen for the same price.”
The kitchen suite encompasses four appliances:
The 30-inch Free-Standing Professional Style Gas Range ($1,599 MSRP) features a convection oven, heavy-duty continuous cast-iron cooking grates, four burners, halogen lighting, and automatic reignition. It has a blue porcelain oven interior and a stainless steel exterior.
The Professional Series Under Cabinet Range Hood ($399 MSRP) is also stainless steel, with an anti-fingerprint finish, three-speed fan touch control, and baffle filters.
The 36-inch 4-Door French Door Freestanding Refrigerator ($1,799 MSRP) has counter-depth French doors and two freezer drawers, plus a full-width chiller drawer and high-efficiency LED lighting. The dual evaporators in its Twin Cooling system separate the refrigerator and freezer zones, preventing moisture and odor transfer, as well as freezer burns.
The 24-inch Professional Series Stainless Steel Dishwasher ($699 MSRP) features three spray arms, a steam assist mode, a soil-sensing Smart Wash system, and an energy-saving multiple filter system. It also deters calcium buildup with a built-in water softener system.
