The top-selling appliance manufacturer will now be coordinating with one of the nation’s leading builders.
Whirlpool Corp., whose family of brands includes such names as KitchenAid, Maytag, and Amana, has signed a three-year agreement with Dan Ryan Builders to serve as the firm’s exclusive supplier of home appliances. The agreement will take effect May 1, 2015.
Based in Frederick, Md., Dan Ryan Builders is a top 20 private home builder and ranked No. 39 on BUILDER’s 2014 Builder 100 list. The firm operates in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Under the terms of the new agreement, Dan Ryan’s home buyers will be able to choose from a variety of kitchen and laundry appliances from the Whirlpool family of brands, ranging from entry-level to premium collections. The variety of appliances is designed to meet the needs of each homeowner, Whirlpool says, and 80% of the products offered are made in the United States.
