MTI Baths is introducing a new option to its lineup of bath fixture materials—DoloMatte, a solid-surface material with a soft matte finish.
The new material is currently available on the manufacturer’s Designer Collection freestanding tubs and low-profile shower bases. Each one is made from a thick slab of specialty polymer blended ground minerals, which is prepared and thermoformed with a mold before being enhanced and finished through additional processes, including hand finishing.
The DoloMatte surface is durable, impact- and shock-resistant, and extremely scratch- and stain-resistant, according to the manufacturer, as well as non-porous, easy to clean, and resistant to mold, mildew, and UV damage.
DoloMatte is one of many bath fixture materials offered through MTI, others include Sculpture Stone, Mineral Composite, and Enhanced Acrylic CXL. MTI partnered with American manufacturer Aristech to create and develop the solid-surface slab used in DoloMatte products. mtibaths.com
