Big Ass Fans’ Haiku

Haiku is Big Ass Fans’ attempt to scale down its ventilation know-how for residential applications. The fan’s core is streamlined thanks to a cool-running motor and integrated driver with sensor-free electronic controls. Three aerodynamic airfoils are spun by a direct-current and permanent-magnetics operation that the company says is 80 percent more efficient than standard fans, using a max of 30 watts. The fan is available in moso bamboo or a glass-infused matrix composite, and its 10 settings can be controlled by remote. Big Ass Fans. 855.694.2458. www.haikufan.com.
