BSH Home Appliances Corporation has voluntarily agreed, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, to expand its safety recall for the replacement of power cords of certain models of Bosch, Thermador, Gaggenau and Jenn-Air brand dishwashers, due to fire hazard.

The recall applies to dishwashers manufactured from September 2012 to January 2015 and sold in the U.S. and Canada. Users can determine whether a dishwasher is part of the safety recall expansion by matching the dishwasher’s model and serial number with those in the safety recall notice. These numbers are located inside the dishwasher, either in the inner door panel or on the side of the dishwasher panel.

To confirm if a given dishwasher is included in the recall, consumers can visit the following brand websites:

  • For Bosch, visit www.bosch-home.com/us and click on Service, then Safety Notices.
  • For Thermador, visit www.thermador.com and click on Customer Care, then Safety Notices.
  • For Gaggenau, visit www.gaggenau.com/us and click on Support, then Safety Notices.
  • For Jenn-Air, visit www.jennair.com and click on Product Recalls at the bottom of the page.

Alternately, users can use BSH’s toll-free safety recall hotline, open from 8 AM to 8 PM EST at 888-965-5813.

BSH is offering power cord replacements for affected users at no charge.
