Western Window Systems is moving forward on its new release trajectory with the launch of the Series 7950 Aluminum Bi-Fold Door, the third of twelve aluminum product lines the manufacturer plans to release this year and in 2018.
The Series 7950 offers four low-E, argon-filled dual pane glass options from Cardinal IG: laminated glass, solar- and glare-control glass, enhanced winter-performance glass, and Neat low-maintenance glass. Each of these panes has a .30 U-value for energy efficiency. Other glass options are also available, including triple-pane, laminated, and security glass.
The door is designed as a clean, contemporary barrier between indoor and outdoor spaces. Its extruded aluminum design is sealed with proprietary Insulbar technology, which maximizes its energy-efficiency. It delivers a Design Pressure rating of 50 against the elements, and is currently in testing for hurricane im-pact resistance. Its head load carriers and hinges can support a variety of panel weights, and its stainless steel ball bearing rollers allow easy operation. It also incorporates a concealed multi-point locking system and an optional flush sill.
The door is available in heights up to 12 feet, with standard or heavy-duty hardware (custom only), single or split-finish options, and an optional 90-degree configuration (custom only). It is available now through Western Window Systems’ custom and volume channels alike. www.westernwindowsystems.com
