Cleveland -based GE Lighting hit the road late last month on its 2012 Lighting Revolution Tour. The traveling trade show offers hands-on opportunities with the division’s new, energy-savvy products for design/build professionals anticipating the continual rollout of updated energy codes. This year’s seven-month tour launched in Miami and lists 57 planned stops in cities across the U.S. and Canada before it wraps up in Hendersonville, N.C., in late September.

“We are excited to spend another year on the road showcasing GE’s new and existing lighting technologies,” says Jim Benson, GE’s general manager of professional marketing, in a release. “With the new regulations taking effect, GE is setting higher standards for every platform, whether for retail customers or consumers at home.”

The tour features product applications and educational information facilitated by company experts for reducing lighting energy use. Residential lighting applications include the Infusion and Vio LED modules, the EnergySmart lamp line, the Evolve family of outdoor LEDs, and various architectural lighting details.

Last year’s tour reached 47 cities in the U.S. and Canada, bringing in nearly 10,000 visitors in 10 months.
