Legrand | AV’s new On-Q Dual-Purpose In-Wall Enclosures, storage solutions for AV components or structured wiring, are available for builder purchase in 9-inch or 17-inch models.

The boxes’ hook and loop systems allow for cable management flexibility, and an included trim ring conceals drywall to create a professional look. Used behind a TV, the On-Q enclosures can house cable boxes and streaming players, among other components. The split cover is designed for use with split-rail TV mounts, allowing for component access after the TV mount is installed, and open channels at the top and bottom allow for passive ventilation.

As a structured wiring solution, the On-Q can be used to store video, voice, and data components, and features a Wi-Fi-transparent plastic cover for signal transmission from ISP modems or wireless routers. The 17-inch model’s split cover accommodates tight-space installations, such as behind closet shelving. The bottom and top channels can be sealed to keep out dust.

“Our new Dual-Purpose In-Wall Enclosures represent the next step in the evolution of plastic enclosures and the role they play in bringing the connected home to life,” says James Rutherford, On-Q product manager for Legrand | AV. “Whether used for storage behind the TV or as structured wiring enclosures, the units combine unmatched flexibility with convenient features—such as a split cover and included trim ring—that have made On-Q the go-to brand for the smart home. As more and more buyers want to enjoy the advantages of the connected life, builders are in a great position to amp up their offerings by including our Dual-Purpose In-Wall Enclosures as a standard feature or add-on option.”

Both sizes include a 5-inch mounting plate, and select models include a mounting bracket for extra elevation, also available separately. The enclosures are compatible with On-Q structured wiring modules, as well as those from other manufacturers. legrand.us
