One of the newest additions to the new line of smart ceiling fans in WAC Lighting Company’s Modern Forms brand is the Wynd smart fan. The transitional-style fixture is one of more than 20 smart fan styles available from Modern Forms, and features a diagonal blade placement with a large central LED luminaire.
The Wynd is available in two blade sweep sizes, 42-inch and 52-inch, and four weather resistant finishes: stainless steel housing with gray blades, matte white housing and blades, bronze housing and blades, and graphite housing with weathered gray blades. A 316 marine-grade stainless steel finish is available for harsh outdoor climates.
In addition to a standard wall-mounted RF control panel, Modern Forms smart fan users can sync their fan with the Modern Forms app to control its fan speed and LED output from their smart device. From there, the app can integrate with existing smart home systems such as Google Assistant, Amazon Echo, Nest and ecobee. The fan’s Adaptive Learning technology allows it to learn its users’ preferences and schedules over time, and will automatically suggest optimized schedules based on its analysis of user behavior and patterns.
All Modern Forms smart fans operate on a quiet and efficient DC motor – up to 70% more efficient than a comparable AC motor, according to the manufacturer. modernforms.com
