Deckorators has introduced three new accessory options for the ALX aluminum deck railing series: aluminum deck gates, continuous top brackets, and post extensions for hanging string lights.

The ALX aluminum post extensions, designed for use with 2 ½-by-2 ½ posts in both the ALX Classic and ALX contemporary railing systems, allow users to easily install and hang outdoor lighting, including string or café lights. The extensions are available in a textured black finish and measures 66 inches (5 1/2 feet) high, extending 39-inch railing posts into 105-inch posts or 44-inch posts into 110-inch posts. Each one features a pre-installed insert and carabiner clip for installation.

The aluminum deck gate, designed for use with ALX Contemporary deck railing, measures 48 inches wide and comes in a choice of a textured black or textured white finish. The gate fits a 36-inch railing height as standard, with gate jamb kits available for 36-inch and 42-inch railing heights. To install, builders are directed to cut the surrounding railing to size and install with the included brackets. Hardware, hinges, and a latch are included.

The continuous top rail brackets, also designed for ALX Contemporary, provide a continuous aesthetic alternative to a traditional post and post-cap top finish. The kits are available in all four ALX Contemporary powder coat colors—textured black, textured white, weathered brown, and bronze—and include line, corner, and end brackets, with a swivel stair option also available.

“With homeowners spending so much more time on their property, they want more ways to use their outdoor space to the fullest,” says Chris Camfferman, managing director of marketing for Deckorators. “Our new accessories offer simple ways for contractors and their clients to easily add function and beauty to a deck.”

The post extensions are expected to be available in the U.S. and Canada in January, with the deck gate and top rail brackets expected in February. deckorators.com
