ProVia’s expanded siding lineup, which includes Harbor Mill Shake and Shingle siding, delivers the rustic look of traditional rough-sawn shingle and staggered hand-split shake without the expense and high maintenance of cedar wood.

Both are modeled after handpicked cedar pieces using laser scanning to ensure details and textures are carried over into each shake and shingle, according to ProVia. The result, according to the manufacturer, is a product that looks “ultra-realistic” while also having versatility and ease of maintenance benefits.

ProVia says Harbor Mill was designed with installers in mind, incorporating built-in features to promote efficient, hassle-free installation. The panels include a drop guard that keeps the panel secured in position while the installer is working on fastening it to the wall and a continuous lock that anchors each panel together for stability and durability.

Harbor Mill panels also feature a seam lock that makes joint overlaps “effectively invisible,” resulting in a smooth, seamless appearance that promotes aesthetic curb appeal. An alignment guide prevents panels from unlocking from the overlapping panel while also leaving enough room for expansion and contraction.

The product also features stagger pattern marks on the nailing hem that indicate the order in which the panels are cut to maintain a proper stagger pattern, ensuring keyways and panels do not repeat vertically. Additionally, the rigid, lightweight profile is easy to handle, according to ProVia. Provia.com
