Designed for year-round outdoor use, the Louis Soleil collection of fully upholstered seating draws on the Louis XIV architectural period for its inspiration, yielding a modern interpretation of classic French designs. The hand-carved teak frames have a low center of gravity and extra width for comfort.
The collection includes open-slat-backed dining side and arm chairs (with upholstered armrests), a lounge chair, an armless side chair, and an occasional chair. Three finishes are offered for the teak frames: natural, weathered, and exterior sealer.
Upholstered seats and backs are made of flow-through foam with a Dacron wrap that dries completely and quickly, the manufacturer says. Sutherland will upholster the chairs in the customer’s own material, but recommends a line of fabrics specifically designed for outdoor applications.
