Tuscan Garden Works offers hand-wrought iron gazebos with swings.

Fanciful filigree domes and sturdy columns of wood, concrete, or iron characterize Tuscan Garden Work’s hand-wrought iron gazebos, but the real storybook touch is the swings.

“It makes the nicest conversation area,” says the firm’s president, Kathy Lillywhite, about the garden structures. “Some people start with two swings and then add another three or four; they just keep adding because their neighbors gather and they need one more.” The gazebos are custom built to fit any outdoor space. Design options include one dome or two, intricate iron leaves intertwined in the canopy, and a choice of column type. Lillywhite says other than the signature iron medium, her design team has no limits.

“If the client has a little tiny space, we do a little tiny grotto,” she explains, “or if they want a room, a 12-foot-diameter gazebo with five swings will hold 10 people.” The company sandblasts and powder coats the ironwork for a durable, low-maintenance finish.
