The California Redwood Co. Introduces Reclaimed Planters

Manufacturer goes beyond decks to expand redwood’s outdoor applications

1 MIN READ

Hand-built planters that include reclaimed redwood are the latest additions to the outdoor garden and patio products from the California Redwood Co. The Eureka, Calif.-based redwood and Douglas fir wood products manufacturer says that the darker accent pieces used in the planter box designs are reclaimed redwood that was once used to separate wood stacks in the drying kilns—the piece’s smaller size previously precluded additional use. Three planter options are available with 6-inch-by-6-inch copper panels and a proprietary planter bag that aerates and prunes the roots during the growing season; the planter is 24 inches tall, 21 inches wide, and 21 inches long.
