California Faucets’ newest addition to its Morro Bay series is a single-hole lavatory faucet with an ultra-thin handle that operates independently of the faucet body, appearing to hover just above it.

Unlike some other designs for square faucets, the Morro Bay design is balanced and streamlined, emphasizing symmetry and aesthetic appeal. The width of the “floating” handle matches that of the thin spout below.

“Because Morro Bay’s handle works as a free spirit, it gives the illusion of a thin, flat rectangle balancing atop the faucet body, like a fulcrum,” says Noah Taft, senior vice president of marketing and sales at California Faucets. “The resulting effect is both sleek and ethereal.”

The faucet is made of solid brass, and is available in 5-5/16” and 11-9/16” heights. Prices range from $529 to $1,086 depending on the finish. The series includes matching trim, tub sets, towel bars, robe hooks, and more.
