L.J. Smith has expanded its assortment of stair system treads with the new Square Nosed Tread Collection, which includes a selection of treads, false treads, and landing treads with square-nosed designs.

The treads are available in Red Oak and Poplar wood in 42”, 48”, and 54” board lengths. The boards are available plan or with miter returns on one or both sides of the tread.

“We had requests for this square nosed design that complements our Linear Collection of stair systems,” says Craig Kurtz, president of L.J. Smith Stair Systems. “These treads harmonize with many home designs, including Contemporary, Retro, Modern and Craftsman.

“Our company manufactures more than 670 different treads. We do that so builders have exactly what they need for their stair system projects. These new Square Nosed Treads are just another addition to the way we are servicing the industry and our customers.” ljsmith.com
