Harbor City, Calif.-based Lunada Bay Tile has expanded its Tomei glass tile collection – pictured right – with five new neutral colors in two finishes. The Linen, Stratus, Horizon, Pumice and Vapor tiles form a palate of muted grays and blues, which offer a variety of design possibilities and applications.

In its study of color theory psychology, Lunada Bay has found that low-contrast neutral colors can provide a sophisticated and elegant feel, a welcoming environment, or a suitable backdrop for stronger color accents. The new colors blend well with modern, traditional, eclectic or rustic décor, and may be used with warmer neutrals to create a sense of dimension in a space.

“Whether layering neutrals or using them as a backdrop to pop accents, they are an invaluable tool in interior design,” says Feras Irikat, director of design and marketing for Lunada Bay Tile. “Tomei’s new gray and beige additions have subtle undertone variances that make it easy to start with a clean canvas to be creative.”

The Tomei collection now offers tile in 24 colors, available with a natural (glossy) or a silk (matte) finish. It is available in two mosaic layouts, 1×1 tiles and a “Falling Water” pattern, and three field sizes: 3 x 6, 3 x 9 and 3 x 12. A coordinating liner is also available. lunadabaytile.com
