Valspar has announced its twelve 2020 Colors of the Year, each one inspired by colors in nature and intended to “bring tranquility” into home environments.

The Colors of the Year range from soft grays, greens and blues (Mint Whisper, Grey Brook, Secret Moss, Tempered Sage and Utterly Blue) to warm neutrals (Bombay Pink, Desert Fortress, Pale Powder, Crushed Out, Canyon Earth and Winter Calm). According to Valspar, the wide variety of Colors of the Year allows all customers to find their own perfect color.

For the first time this year, Valspar has photographed each of the Colors of the Year in peoples’ homes, in order to represent the lifestyles the colors exist with.

“Earth’s prescription for the chaotic, busy lives we all live is to bring the tranquility of nature and the outdoor world into the home. That’s exactly what we set out to accomplish when forecasting the 2020 Colors of the Year,” says Sue Kim, Valspar Color Marketing Manager at Sherwin-Williams. “Take Mint Whisper, for instance. The crisp shade brings a sense of peace — and nature’s positivity — indoors.”

All twelve colors are available nationwide at Lowe’s stores and independent retailers. Color names and shades may vary between retailers. Click here for a full directory of colors, alternate names, and design tips. valsparpaint.com
