Breathe Easy
1 Installed in Pairs Two LUNOS units work in tandem: The solid-state controller runs one fan as an intake for 70 seconds, while the other fan exhausts stale air and maintains neutral pressure. Then, both fans swap directions.
2 Energy Recovery The ceramic core of each wall unit absorbs heat and moisture from the outgoing airstream, stores it, then returns it to the incoming air stream. Heat recovery efficiency is around 90 percent.
3 No Ductwork LUNOS units move air directly from the room to the outdoors—no bulky air handler. They’re low-flow (just 18–22 cfm), best for a small space, and they draw less than two watts of power per device.
For a simple way to supply fresh air to a tight living space, consider the LUNOS E2. Units the size of a coffee can (with fan, filter, and heat-transfer core) are installed through the wall and switch from “breathe in” to “breathe out” on a 70-second cycle.
