KloroStone Permeable Pavers

Water-permeable KloroStone pavers squeeze big ideas into a small module. The sievelike, ceramic-based units filter and treat stormwater in a way similar to bioswales and rain gardens. They have an infiltration rate of up to 4 inches of water per hour and can handle 41 inches in 24 hours—three times the rate of a 100-year flood. Sedimentation won’t penetrate and clog the pavers’ microscopic pores, and they can be cleaned with power-wash rather than vacuum equipment. The heavy-traffic-rated pavers come in nine colors, three standard shapes, and varying depths from 30 mm to 60 mm. www.klorotech.com
