Handmade to order in Mexico using a centuries-old technique, Tesselle Cement Tiles consist of three layers made in a mold and contain natural, light-fast pigments, Portland cement, and powdered white marble. They measure 8 inches square by 5/8-inch thick and can be used to create an organic, non-repeating design on walls, floors, ceiling, and countertops (a 3/8-inch thickness is available for walls and ceilings). The tiles are suitable for both indoors and outdoors, in regions where temperatures do not go below freezing. Installation tip: Cut with a diamond blade and water to prevent chipping, and install in a cement-based thin-set adhesive with a 1/16-inch joint width. www.tesselle.com
