On the heels of its annual CEDIA Expo in Las Vegas, the Consumer Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) predicts the top technology trends in home electronics: command and control technologies, kitchen connectivity, advances in display technology, Web 3.0, and advancements in digital telemedicine. Custom home builders and designers should take note of these five technology categories and the ways consumers will want to use them in their homes. CE Pro magazine reports.

But will any of these advances and technological innovations in home electronics systems actually catch on with consumers? Despite the many benefits of high-tech digital solutions to everyday inconveniences around the home, sometimes consumers just don’t agree with manufacturers that these systems offer any true utility.
