Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US is introducing a new outdoor unit to its P-Series, the 2-ton PUZ Hyper-Heating INVERTER, which can be paired with select P-series ducted and ductless indoor units. It is the first METUS single-zone 2-ton outdoor unit to feature the H2i system.

“We’re very pleased to offer a 2-ton H2i unit that fills a vast single-zone application need,” says Mitul Patel, director of residential product management for Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US. “The PUZ hyper-heating unit gives customers more options for one-to-one configurations and H2i technology in our P-Series lineup.”

Compatible products include PLA ceiling-recessed ductless units (12-42 KBTU/H), PKA wall-mounted ductless units (12-36 KBTU/H), PCA ceiling-suspended units (24-42 KBTU/H), the PVA multi-position air handler (24-42 KBTU/H) and PEAD horizontal-ducted units (12-42 KBTU/H).

The PUZ H2i is rated for 100% heating capacity down to 5 degrees Fahrenheit, and guaranteed heating down to -13 degrees Fahrenheit. Its energy ratings include up to 21.5 SEER, 14 EER and 12 HSPF. mitsubishicomfort.com
