Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US, has expanded its M-Series with a new line of MSZ/MUZ-WR Model 16 SEER Heat Pumps, including indoor units, outdoor units, and controllers for residential and light commercial use.

The MSZ/MUZ-WR Model 16 SEER Heat Pumps are available in 9, 12, 18, and 24 kBtu/h capacity ratings. Each unit achieves an 8.0-11.0 energy efficiency ratio (EER) and an 8.5 heating season performance factor (HSPF). The indoor units operate as low as 22 dB(A), and the outdoor units as quietly as 46 dB(A).

The outdoor units feature a Blue Fin anti-corrosion treatment on the heat exchanger. The indoor unit supports a 12-hour timer, which allows users to set one on/off cycle for a 12-hour period, and an ECONO COOL mode that delivers air at a higher set point in a swing motion to balance comfort and energy savings.

Optional wireless connectivity allows users to pair the heat pump with the kumo cloud app, as well as other thermostats through the Thermostat interface.

“This product is great for homeowners who are looking to take entry level efficiency measures in their HVAC system,” said Brinnon Williams, director of product planning for Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US. “The system allows them to keep everyone in the house comfortable all year long without spending a fortune on energy bills.” mitsubishicomfort.com
