K+B Studio: Pro Sink

1 MIN READ

Originally made only for professional kitchens, Julien stainless steel sinks are now available for residential use. Available in seven sink units, two sink modules, and two kitchen island modules, the sinks are constructed with a soundproofed and anti-vibration structure of 16-gauge stainless steel.

The maker uses computer-assisted design, 3D modeling, and laser cutters to produce sinks with contemporary curves and finishes to coordinate with the look and finishes of today’s kitchen appliances. The sinks feature storage compartments, integrated prep and work surfaces, and optional backsplashes.

Functionality is the name of the game with these sinks. For example, sink unit 0305’s integrated interior pedestal serves to link the large dripboard on one side with the 22-inch-wide, 10-inch-deep basin on the other. The pedestal can also be used to prop prep dishes such as bowls or colanders near the faucet for ease of use. Kitchen Island 2100 (shown) combines two 81/2-inch-deep basins with a stainless steel island countertop designed to attach to island cabinetry. The basins measure 15 inches wide and are divided by a half-height central wall. The dripboard spans the width of both basins. A raised cylinder behind the faucet hole houses circuit breaker outlets and acts as a pedestal for any item. Each side of the island is identical, with drawers and shallow, fluorescent-lit shelves for display or storage. 800.461.3377. www.julien.ca.
