Hardware manufacturer and distributor Richelieu has partnered with artist and designer Jean-Claude Poitras to create the Muse collection of decorative and eclectic cabinet hardware.
According to the manufacturer, the collaboration’s aim is to take Poitras’s “love of beauty and passion for visual art” and apply it to interior design. The Muse Collection encompasses six hardware styles:
- The Canella cabinet pull is crafted from ash wood to resemble a cinnamon stick.
- The Kara circular pull features a metallic, waved surface inspired by seashells. It is available in two finishes: satin gold and charcoal.
- The Yugen line is described as a sleek, curvilinear form in a semi-gloss black finish. It is available in four sizes, franging from 1 1/4 inches to 12 5/8 inches.
- The Allegra knob has a wide, tapered shape with a large projection, and features a band of rubber in the middle for visual contrast and a stronger grip.
- The Naya handles are inspired by Inukshuk art. They are made from natural stone, with a mix of soft and rough textures, and available in two sizes: 6 5/16 inches and 10 1/8 inches.
- The Silhouette is a large, square glass handle with “La passante du sans-souci,” a Poitras design, inset in the glass. richelieu.com
