Thermador has expanded its 36” induction cooktop offerings with the Liberty Induction Cooktop. The Liberty line is designed to be flexible for a wide variety of cooking arrangements, especially those that involve larger cookware.
The Liberty’s 11 inductors are divided across three cooking zones, which can accommodate pots and pans ranging in size from 4” to 10” and teppanyaki grills up to 16”. The cooktop features 17 power levels and 5 pre-set temperature levels, plus automatic pan recognition – the cooktop will not turn on when non-pan items are in the cooking zone – and automatic switch-off after 20 seconds. An illuminated control panel allows users to access temperature, timer, and start/stop controls.
Three Thermador-exclusive features have made their debut on the Liberty cooktop. HeatShift™ offers three preset heat zones in each cooking zone, which lets users change the power level under their pots simply by moving the pot to a different location on the zone. MoveMode™ automatically transfers cooking settings to new locations on the cooktop as pots and pans are moved, and PanBoost™ provides a shorter heat-up time for pan-frying cookware.
The cooktop’s glass is currently available in Titanium Gray, with a new Silver Mirror glass coming soon. www.thermador.com
