You wouldn’t normally associate a door or window screen with safety, but Crimsafe North America claims its products will help with just that.
Imported from Australia, Crimsafe is a stainless steel security mesh and frame system that can be used to secure doors, windows, and outdoor areas from typical summertime pests and afternoon sun, but it will also keep out intruders and burglars.
The company says two special features in particular make the system effective in keeping out intruders: The mesh uses screw-clamp technology, so it can’t be kicked out; and the mesh is 0.9 mm thick and precisely woven, so every strand backs up the others.
It comes as residential and commercial systems, including applications for sliding and swinging doors, operable and fixed windows, and patio enclosures.
