IceStone surfacing is made from 75 percent post-consumer recycled glass and 25 percent concrete, pigment, and binding agents, and it has a chemical composition that is 99.5 percent inorganic with no volatile organic compounds, according to the manufacturer. The terrazzo-like surfacing is designed for use in a variety of applications, including counters, vanity tops, flooring, wall surfaces, and bath and shower surrounds. Twenty standard colors are available, and custom colors can be created.
