The blown-in cellulose insulation not only reduces noise and saves energy, but also is made with recycled newspaper that has been treated with a fire retardant.
For kitchen surfaces, Soletski prefers engineered quartz over granite. Quartz doesn’t need to be sealed, he says, and homeowners don’t need to make sure they dry the surface thoroughly after use. He likes Cambria and Dupont Zodiaq surfaces best.
