Made from paint-grade poplar and Baltic birch, the grilles assemble and install in two parts. A metal sleeve slides into the wall penetration—its side flanges keep it from falling through and ensure a flush mount—and is screwed into the wall studs. After a filter is placed in the opening, the decorative wooden grille locks into the metal sleeve, eliminating the need for fasteners and allowing easy filter changes and access to the duct. The system can be used for wall or ceiling applications.
