Here's a cheat sheet of some new products debuting at the 2005 International Builders' Show.

NAVIGATING YOUR WAY THROUGH the sea of new products at the International Builders’ Show (IBS) is like looking for a black cat in a dark room: You may find something interesting but only if you stop at every booth. This, we know, is next to impossible—and unnecessary. Instead, let us do the job for you.

After two years in Las Vegas, the IBS switches scenes in 2005 to sunny Orlando, Fla., land of Mickey and Minnie, Epcot, and Universal Studios. And for the next two years, it will be the land of great products—at least the place where manufacturers will show their great products. As is our tradition (and because we care), BUILDER has assembled a smattering of some of the coolest products the show will offer this year. Make time for them!

For example, get a load of what DecKorators is touting as the first glass baluster for outdoor decks. Swing by Clopay’s booth to see its garage-door window that has the look of beveled glass but without the cost. And make time for Broan-NuTone, which has a new line of colored medicine cabinets that can add some zip to your baths.

Of course, with over 1,600 exhibitors this is merely a drop in the bucket. But every little bit helps. Plus if you leave the hard work up to us, it will free up some time for you to tool around the theme parks. And you know you want to.
