Ideal for island range applications where overhead vent hoods are not desirable, Bosch’s DHD2 downdraft ventilation system elevates up to 10 inches when in use to position its intake above most pots and pans to better catch cooking smoke and odors. The Touch & Turn control then rotates to select the desired speed and is located so the cook does not have to reach directly across the cooking surface. The DHD2 is available with internal and remote optional blowers with a blower that delivers up to 1,000 cfm. A full-face filter is protected by a splatter shield that makes cleanup easier; the entire piece can be popped into the dishwasher.
Once installed, the downdraft ventilation system provides more room for ducting and transitions above the cabinet bottom. A screw drive system delivers smooth and quiet operation during raising and lowering. Bosch Home Appliances. 800.921.9622. www.boschappliances.com
