SmartSide Offers Co-Branded Marketing Option for Builders

When it comes to high-performance siding, two brand names rule the branding battle field.

In fiber cement you’ll recognize James Hardie HardiePlank, and in engineered wood you’ll find LP SmartSide. Both options provided durability, moisture resistance, and warranties. When it comes time to sell, both products readily accept a new coat of paint.

A new program from LP SmartSide offers in-market support to builders who opt for the wood-based option. Co-branded marketing materials work to align builders with SmartSide’s promise of quality, while saving man hours and marketing dollars.

Dan Wolf, owner of Noblesville, Ind.-based Bedrock Builders, says LP provides co-branded literature to educate buyers about LP products. Moreover, LP has set up billboards and radio spots advertising Bedrock’s new home communities, featuring SmartSide.

“It’s legwork that we don’t have to do like we used to,” says Wolf. “It lets us focus on the day-to-day of homebuilding.”
