Sherwin-Williams Product Finishes introduces 1K Waterborne Anti-Slip Coating, a textured, quick-drying black topcoat suitable for use on truck and equipment walkways. Surpassing recommended levels of coefficient of friction testing for anti-slip properties, the product provides rugged protection while reducing the time to accept light foot traffic to six hours, and surpasses recommended levels of coefficient of friction testing for anti-slip properties, according to the company. The 1K Waterborne Anti-Slip Coating can be applied over any GENESIS or AIC primer or single-stage topcoat, eliminating the need for scuff sanding.

The DuraClass HPT-316 dump body features horizontal side braces. Horizontal side braces and deep flanged longmembers eliminate the need for crossmembers, making the HPT-316 easier to keep clean in harsh environments where slush and salt buildup take their toll on hard working equipment. Blind Spot Detection System
Brandmotion has introduced a complete blind spot detection system. In an effort to reduce traffic accidents caused by the large blind spot next to trucks, Brandmotion has introduced a complete radar blind spot detection system using OEM components and vehicle-specific brackets. Dual 24GHz radar sensors activate when the vehicle is traveling at over 20 miles per hour and will warn drivers with a visual indicator light at the bottom of the vehicle’s A-pillar when another vehicle is in one of the vehicles two blind spots. If the driver puts on a turn signal while a vehicle is in the blind spot, a visual warning, paired with an audible warning, will alert the driver not to change lanes.

Aerial Lifts
Dur-A-Lift recently acquired the MAT-3 Mat-Tree product line and has updated the aerial lifts with new features. The rebranded product, called DAT-3, will now be available in the 65 to 75 foot working height range for tree removal. The telescopic articulating bucket truck will feature a single-person basket and a non-over center design for increased stability and side reach. The lift will come in 60 and 70 foot models and features 360-degree continuous unrestricted rotation with side reaches up to 48 feet.

Diesel Fired Auxiliary Heater
The Proheat X30 is an advanced diesel-fired coolant heater for engine preheat, cab and fluid heating in cold weather climates. The system features O2 feedback that adjusts to the environment, allowing the heater to operate more efficiently regardless of altitude, weather or fuel type. Variable heat output delivers heat without the risk of short cycling which can contribute to higher maintenance and less overall heat output. The system reduces idling, wet stacking, equipment warm-up time, fuel output, maintenance cost, and emissions, according to the company.

All Terrain Tires
The Open Country C/T on-and-off-road commercial-grade tires from Toyo Tires provide durability for all terrain types with a proprietary tread design that that provides increased traction in gravel, mud, and snow. A Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake feature qualifies it for severe snow conditions. Sizes are available to fit 16,- 17-, 18-, and 20-inch rim diameters, and three different flotation sizes feature 12.50-inch widths, with 35-inch outside diameters. The tires feature a load-rating of 2,469 pounds to 3,748 pounds.

Hybrid Pickup Truck
XL Hybrids will launch the industry’s first Fleet-ReadyT plug-in hybrid pickup truck upfit at this year’s show. The XLPT plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) upfit will be offered as a ship-thru upfit on half-ton pickup trucks from leading OEMs, and will provide a 50% improvement in miles driven per gallon for major fleets while reducing CO2 emissions, according to the company. The XLP lithium battery pack will be over 10 kWh, and will accommodate Levels 1 and 2 charging using an industry-standard plug. XLP ship-thru deliveries to fleet customers will begin in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Telescoping Power Box Plow
The new Telescoping Power Box Plow from Meyer Products telescopes from 8 to 12 feet using in-cab controls for snow clearing. The steel plow can be attached to almost any machine including skid steers, tractors and compact wheel loaders with a free-floating mount and has adjustable left and right hydraulic wings that move to the operator’s desired length to increase maneuverability in narrow areas. The plow can flip over for effective push and drag back of materials being cleared, comes with a rubber cutting edge for quieter operation, and free floats 20-degrees to follow the contour of uneven pavement.

Aluminum Dump Body
The new TC-202 ULTRA COMBO, All Aluminum Combination Service/Dump Body. Truck Craft has designed a single-rear-wheel pickup truck body kit made of all aluminum that combines space to carry tools and other necessary jobsite items with a dump truck feature. The body fits on any full-size SRW pickups with the box removed and can be installed in six hours with hand tools. The body offers 35 cubic feet of secure tool storage with pass-through top compartments on both sides for long objects. The dumb insert holds 2.5 cubic yards and dumps up to 7,000 pounds in 15 seconds.

MPIC-Slope Compact Digital Meter
The new MPIC-Slope from Riverside Mfg is a compact digital meter that provides real time pitch, roll, slope, and/or grade data in direct sunlight or minimal light environments. Users can navigate through multiple settings using gesture control to change warning set points, audible alarms, and home screen graphics. The settings also include an auto zero calibration function. The small 2.5-inch device can be mounted in a 2-inch diameter hole and operates in temperatures ranging from -20 degrees C to 70 degrees C. The system saves the most recent 50 hours of data. PTO System for RAM Chassis Cabs
Direct Drive Plus is launching a PTO system for RAM chassis cabs. The LiveDrive 4×4 Plus allows a four-wheel-drive truck to run one or more power takes off (PTO) devices at one time, eliminating the need for extra engines. In traditional trucks, the left-hand side of the chassis is the only place to install under deck equipment as the right side is full of exhaust and emissions equipment, but a 4×4 transfer case at the rear of the transmission blocks the left hand side PTO port. Direct Drive Plus built a shaft into the 4×4 transfer case, thereby going through the blocked space, allowing this left hand side to be fully utilized. The new PTO for RAM trucks has a peak horse power of 60 and 250 foot pounds of torque, the maximum the transmission will allow.

Engine Starting System
The new FST3000 utilizes Vanair’s proprietary Fast Start Technology (FST) to both charge and start vehicles within seconds even if a car battery is dead. The system is equipped with the Vanair Super Capacitor (VSCTM) with 3000 amps of instantaneous power and a 240 amp alternator, which can charge and start both 12V and 24V batteries on any type of vehicle, according to the company. The unit is encased in a heavy-duty, weather-protected enclosure for protection against the elements but features controls mounted on the outside of the unit.
