FLIR Systems, Inc. has introduced a new building inspection system, the MR277, which combines a thermal-enabled moisture meter with FLIR’s IGM thermal imaging system and multi-spectral dynamic imaging technology. Taken together, the system is designed to help restorers, remediators, and building management professionals find moisture, air leaks and insulation voids with visual detail enhancements to IGM thermal images.

The MR277’s display screen is 50% larger than previous FLIR moisture meter display screens, allowing users to easily identify problem areas or view multiple parameters at the same time, including humidity and vapor pressure. Once an issue is located, the pinless sensor provides non-invasive moisture detection, and inspectors can diagnose the issue using the built-in Bluetooth connection to connect to devices running the FLIR Tools mobile app. Using this connection, users can upload their measurements and images to reports that may be shared with customers. The tool’s internal storage can store up to 15,000 images, and can display and record in MSX, thermal, and visual modes.

The MR277 kit is priced at $1,399.99, and includes a MR02 removeable pin probe and MR13 field-replaceable moisture hygrometer. flir.com
