Mur-Mur decorative wall cladding stones and Hull Historical Millwork's mantels.

Mortar and Stone Mur-Mur decorative wall cladding stones from Modulo USA are made from reconstituted natural stones collected from France’s Valois region. The crushed stone material is colored with several metal oxides, then molded and imprinted with 100 different high-definition textures to provide a natural antique effect. Random pigmentation of the stone material adds to the appearance of antique building stones. However, because the colors are integrated into the stone, the maker says they will not fade or smear.

Modulo USA The cast stones weigh only slightly more than 1.6 pounds per square foot, and require no special wall supports for installation. Modulo’s special grout, joint a l’ancienne, is made from small and coarse stones mixed with mortar for an old-fashioned appearance.

Modulo’s reconstituted stone interior and exterior wall and floor claddings have been available in Europe for more than 30 years and are now available in the United States. 877.663.7866. www.modulousa.com

The Victorian designs reflect both the simplicity and the grandeur of that time, with the down-to-earth Oklahoman, East Coastal, and Bostonian, as well as the ornate Grant. The Potomac mantel (shown) in the Period Revival collection reflects the era’s interest in classical architecture. The mantels come in a variety of woods, including oak, cherry, walnut, long-leaf pine, and tidewater red cypress. Some styles are available in paint-grade as well as stain-grade. 800.950.1495. www.hullhistorical.com
