The design of your model home can make or break a sale. Prospective buyers need to be able to be able to visualize themselves living in the home they’re touring, and therefore can easily be turned off by a space that isn’t well decorated.
Today, online home furnishing and product distributor Wayfair announced a new “Search with Photo” feature that will allow designers and builders to easily find pieces for stagings in real time based on design photos. Users simply snap a photo of a furnishing they like, be it from a magazine photo, friend’s home, or design center, and upload it to Wayfair. The company’s artificial intelligence technology will then find similar matches and related products from the database of over 8 million products for purchase.
“While finding a look you love may be easy, finding the specific products to bring that look to life can be time-consuming and require a lot of searching. With visual search, shoppers can now search for and find a particular product or style instantly,” said Steve Conine, co-founder and co-chairman of Wayfair.
The feature is available on iOS and Android phones, tablets, and desktops on the Wayfair website.
